Vote for DJ Santana

As we enter the New Year, I need everyone who reads this blog to do me a small favor. As most of you know by looking at my site Dougvansant.com, I'm a big fan of electronic music and the dance music world. I've been writing about nightlife and DJs for about 4 years now and immersed myself into the club world of South Florida and now San Francisco. Part of this passion is following the rankings of these DJs and clubs worldwide and understanding how important it is to garner "Top 10" status.

If you’re curious, the No. 1 DJ in the world right now is Paul van Dyk, followed by Tiesto and Armin van Buuren. These high rankings allow DJs to leverage tons of money for gigs and attract record labels and movie producers for all sorts of recording opportunities. Paul Oakenfold is one of the most famous because of his ability to use his rankings to rape the dance music world and create songs for soundtracks all over Hollywood.

Anyhow, my good friend Paul Santana is a highly talented DJ in Tampa. You can check him out at DJsantana.com or listen to him 24-hours a day at DJsantanaradio.com. His style is heavy trance, but he throws in some breaks and house from time to time. His shows are some of the best in the Tampa Bay area and he is quickly gathering acclaim from around the southeast.

I'd like to see Paul get moved up the DJ rankings and help this talented artist get more attention around the US and around the world. So I'm asking you all to go visit The DJ List.com and vote for DJ Santana.

You'll have to register with the site to vote, but they hardly send emails and never pass along your address to third parties. The only reason for registration is to understand the global demographics of users on this site.
